Meet the team
Shirley Snoyman
A Mathematics teacher turned Investment Banker where part of her responsibilities included outreach and philanthropic activities in the education space. This work gave her an avenue to continue her passion for teaching while she spent two decades in the corporate world.
Shirley’s son Ryan, has been passionate about education and giving back to the community. When he was 16, as part of a year 10 program, he participated in a cross-cultural program, volunteering at Yipirinya, an Aboriginal school in Alice Springs. He quoted, “After a week interacting with those children both in the classroom and on the sports field I thought that both my school and Yipirinya would benefit greatly if the relationship between us could be maintained”.
When Ryan returned from his year 10 trip, Shirley set out to find a sustainable way to create and maintain such relationships and four years later Edxchange was born.
